The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has managed to restore the country's significant role in the world. This was stated by the head of the party "National Rally" in the French Parliament Marine Le Pen in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País.

“A few years ago, when France was trying to rebuild relations with Russia, I said that we should not underestimate Putin. Russia was devastated in the 1990s, and he has succeeded in restoring its important role on the global stage,” she said.

Le Pen also expressed hope that the conflict in Ukraine would soon come to an end. In her opinion, the elected President of the United States Donald Trump will play an important role in the peaceful resolution.

As reported by IA Regnum, during a speech at the anniversary International Discussion Club "Valdai" on November 7, Putin stated that the world needs Russia. He added that no one will be able to change this situation. The head of state clarified that, despite the attempts of the collective West to send the country “to the canvas” through unprecedented sanctions, this situation has only proven that Russia is necessary for the world.

On October 11, Putin noted that Russia is ready to discuss a new world order on the international stage, including cooperation within various associations: the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and BRICS. He added that ensuring universal peace and development can only be achieved by considering the opinions of each state and people, as well as respecting their sovereignty.
