The elected President of the United States Donald Trump will be able to persuade the parties involved in the Ukrainian conflict to come to the negotiating table and find a diplomatic resolution to the crisis. This was stated by the leader of the right-wing party “National Rally” in the French Parliament Marine Le Pen in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País.
“This conflict will come to an end. I believe that Donald Trump will convince Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Kyiv regime Volodymyr Zelensky to sit down at the negotiating table, and a diplomatic solution will be found,” she said.
Le Pen clarified that Ukraine will not be able to achieve victory in this conflict on its own. According to her, only NATO intervention could help the Kyiv regime to hold back Russia's advance, but this would provoke a third world war.
As reported by IA Regnum, on December 5, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, reported that the leaders of the Kyiv regime are discussing the details of a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Trump's team and plan to announce their readiness for negotiations with Russia.
On December 19, the special envoy of the elected U.S. President for Ukraine Keith Kellogg expressed confidence that Russia and Ukraine are ready to begin negotiations to resolve the conflict. Dialogue, he noted, is vital for a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
In June, Putin noted that one of the conditions for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine would be a statement from the Kyiv regime rejecting plans to join NATO. Additionally, for negotiations to begin, Kyiv must recognize territorial realities and withdraw troops from the regions that returned to Russia in 2022, the head of state stated.
In November, the Russian leader also stated that the requirements outlined in June are not preliminary conditions for starting negotiations, but rather Russian conditions for peace.
