The Russian government is working effectively and thinking about the future. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a live Q&A session combined with a press conference on December 19.

“The government is functioning effectively for us, quite satisfactorily, and it is doing a lot while considering the future. We must always think about the future. Even during the most challenging times of the Great Patriotic War, we know these examples, we thought about the future and acted, as it turned out later, correctly,” said Putin.

The head of state emphasized that the government is setting tasks, national development goals, and national projects.

“It would be good for the government (editor's note) to work timely and in an industrial context, thinking about the development of specific sectors of production and consumer goods,” added Putin.

As reported by IA Regnum, on December 5, Putin discussed with the Security Council the development of industrial sectors producing dual-use goods. According to the Russian president, this is important both for the economy as a whole and for maintaining and enhancing the country's defense capabilities.

The head of state also mentioned that a national project is being prepared in Russia for the development of the rocket and space industry. He specified that the domestic defense industry will require diversification of operations in the near future.
